Cabin #4

The Bigleaf Magnolia tree is the largest simple-leafed plant, with the largest single flower, in North America. You won’t find it anywhere except certain places in Mississippi, Alabama — and in abundance throughout the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. You’ll love the Bigleaf Magnolia that stands sentry over the entrance to Cabin #4, and the magnolias that surround the cabin in the forest outside.

Cabin #4 is the newest of the original cabins at Williams Creek Retreat. It’s a two-bedroom, two-bath cabin, all on one level, with two full-size beds, a fully-furnished kitchen, and access to the gazebo that is available for our guests’ use. Enjoy the sound of the stream out back from the swing on the wrap-around covered porch, or a picnic-style supper and campfire from the fire pit and table outside.

The main level has a spacious living room, a modern kitchen that is fully equipped, two baths, and features a gas fireplace in addition to central heat and air. Satellite TV is available, and all linens and towels are provided.

Outside, the wrap-around deck has furniture to enjoy the outdoors. There is a picnic table, fire pit and park-style charcoal grill. Williams Creek Retreat includes a large gazebo — perfect for family reunions and other gatherings — on the bank of a small pond. Horse stalls (with a turn-out ring) are available on the premises for $10 per horse per night.
