Chances are, if you’re here, it’s because you already know about the northern Cumberland Plateau and — specifically — the Big South Fork. But just in case you don’t, let us introduce you to paradise!

Our home (Scott County, Tenn.) has been named the Adventure Tourism Capital of Tennessee. There’s so much to see and do, particularly if you love the great outdoors. Your awesome getaway will begin and end from your very own cabin at Williams Creek Retreat, where you’ll be surrounded by private forests and bubbling mountain streams. In fact, once you’ve sat on one of our covered porches and enjoyed your morning coffee to the sounds of the songbirds that call Williams Creek home, or relaxed by a campfire at dusk as the late-summer katydids and crickets sing their nighttime melodies, we won’t blame you if you never want to leave your cabin while you’re here.

But just in case you want to explore, the biggest decision is what you want to do first. You can take a hike in the Big South Fork just like John Muir did more than 150 years ago, go for a horseback ride on a few of the more than 200 miles of trails within the national park, or grab a kayak and paddle the river. The Big South Fork is America’s premier national park for mountain bikers; you’ll love pedaling our IMBA-rated epic trails. And just down the road is Brimstone Recreation — America’s No. 1 destination for ATV and off-road riding. There are hunting and fishing opportunities galore in our neck of the woods, or maybe you just want to take it easy and enjoy the wildlife or explore our countryside from your vehicle.

Whatever you choose to do, all roads lead back to Williams Creek Resort at the end of the day!
